About Me

My photo
I graduated from Loyola University New Orleans (Geaux Wolfpack!) with a B.A. in Psychology. I recently completed two years as an AmeriCorps member during which I found a home at the Washington Middle School for Girls. Prior to WMSG, I worked as an adult education instructor for the Corrections Organized for Re-entry program (CORe). My mission at WMSG is to empower the students and stregnthen their voice. I hope to inspire a love of learning and a love of self.

In Class Writing

Great job, 7th graders. I enjoyed reading your opinions on the topics of Immigration, Illegal Aliens/Undocumented Workers, Amnesty, Border Security, and Deportation. I that you continue your research.

All papers will be reviewed and passed back. After a peer-review, you will rewrite your essays and include a plan of action for "solving" the issues.

I will discuss this in more depth tomorrow.

Again, congratulations on the last in class writing and keep up the great work!
