I graduated from Loyola University New Orleans (Geaux Wolfpack!) with a B.A. in Psychology. I recently completed two years as an AmeriCorps member during which I found a home at the Washington Middle School for Girls. Prior to WMSG, I worked as an adult education instructor for the Corrections Organized for Re-entry program (CORe). My mission at WMSG is to empower the students and stregnthen their voice. I hope to inspire a love of learning and a love of self.

Writing Project: Photo Narrative

Paragraph One
What i s the book about? (ex. Toni Morrison'photo narrative"Remember: Journey to School Integration," describes how schools handled segregation and integration during the Civil Rights Movement. All of this is captured through pictures and narration because it is a photo essay. 
Remember to include authortitle, and genre (photo narrative) 
Remember to explain or define any unfamiliar words (photo narrative) 
Paragraph Two 
PICK TWO  pictures that you felt were moving. Which pictures are your favorite and why?
What story does it tell? Of what historical event are you reminded? 
Don't forget to include: a description of the pictures page numbers for each picture

Compare and Contrast 
How are these pictures similar? 
How are different?
Paragraph Four
Tell me what you think!  Did you enjoy this book? Explain.
